Crispy Wild Caught Cod & Hand Cut Fries

OK... So, what is a Chippy? Well, in Britain a Chippy is what they call an establishment that serves Fish & Chips. At the Chippy Truck we are preparing, cooking and serving crispy wild caught cod with hand-cut fries, just like back in Britain. Our cooking method includes deep-frying our food in Beef Tallow rather than vegetable oils which gives our food that extra flavor and crispiness that you won't commonly find on this side of the pond.

It all started on a rainy afternoon in a small seaside town in England. When our annual vacation found us wandering the cobblestone streets, we stumbled upon a tiny, bustling “Chippy” — the kind locals spoke of with a smile. The warm, welcoming reception and friendliness of the shop owner made us feel right at home. We ordered the classic: Fish & Chips. The golden, flaky cod wrapped in crisp batter, served with thick-cut chips and a splash of malt vinegar. One bite, and we were hooked. (Pun intended) The crunch, the tenderness, the unmistakable taste of tradition. It wasn’t just food; it was a piece of British culture on a plate.

When we returned home, we couldn’t shake the craving for that authentic flavor. So, we set out to recreate it — sourcing the freshest fish, hand-cutting our potatoes, and perfecting a batter that would make any British seaside proud.

Today, every plate we serve is a love letter to that first Chippy visit — a promise to bring you the same warmth, comfort, and flavor that captured our hearts in England.

Because here, it’s not just fish and chips. It’s a journey back to that little shop by the sea.
